Ever wish you could star in feature films or TV shows? Or perhaps you dream of a life on stage that might one day take you as far as Broadway? Well, you wouldn’t be the first teenager to dream of a career in teen acting, and you certainly won’t be the last.
Opportunities for teenagers in the entertainment industry, including auditions and casting calls for various productions, are abundant.
But you know what? Maybe you can be one of the few aspiring teen actors that actually do something about it.
There are plenty of teen acting opportunities out there, so what are you waiting for?
At Bubblegum, we’ve been working with teen actors for almost four decades, and while we learned a lot, there’s one thing that always sticks with us – teen acting, like teen modelling, is the chance of a lifetime.
Now that you’re a teenager, you likely have a good idea of what type of career you’d like to pursue in the future. And if that career has anything to do with the entertainment business, then working as a teen actor could be the ideal stepping stone for you.
Teen acting opens doors for an aspiring young actor. You meet the right people, get a chance to audition in front of the industry’s top teen casting directors, and if you’re good (and have a great agency), you get to work with the best directors and producers. Casting calls for various roles in film, TV, and theater are frequently posted, providing numerous opportunities for teenage actors.
It’s a golden opportunity to put some serious work on your resume and build up some industry experience along the way.
It also helps that you can make yourself a little cash while you’re at it.
The thing is that teen casting directors are always on the lookout for teen actors with different looks. It doesn’t matter what colour your hair is, how tall you are, or where you come from. It doesn’t matter if you wear glasses or have braces. There’s always an opportunity out there for teen actors.
There are also numerous opportunities for male actors of different age ranges and ethnic backgrounds, whether for featured roles or background extras.
Of course, a little acting experience will help, but if you don’t have any, then start learning. If you’re eager and listen to the advice of the director and your agency coaches, you can easily overcome a lack of experience. Trust us, we’ve seen it happen before.
What you will need though is the right attitude. Young acting is hard work, and there’s no way you can bluff your way through a role without putting the effort in. It just doesn’t work that way.
You need to practice, practice, and practice some more. You need to attend auditions and give it your all each and every time. And if you land a role, you need to know how to take direction and accept constructive criticism. As we said, it’s hard work.
But as you can guess, the rewards are well worth the effort.
We have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane while also representing talent in the Gold Coast and Perth, and host our open casting events in each location regularly.
Once we meet you in person, we’ll make a decision on whether or not we’ll sign you up.
You see, we’re highly selective of who we work with as we only sign teen actors that we feel have the potential to make it in the industry.
If you’re lucky enough to join us, we’ll pull out all the stops to help you make your name. We can’t make any guarantees about work (you have to nail the audition for that), but we can promise you that we’ll make sure that we put your forward for every suitable role that comes our way.
When it comes to teen acting, we know what we’re doing. And we’re not bragging when we say that joining Bubblegum could be the best decision you’ll make for your teen acting career.
So what are you waiting for? Apply now, and let’s see where this adventure takes us.
That’s the easy part. There are any number of teen acting agencies out there that will be more than happy to take on your teen. However, you’re not looking for any old agency. You want one that has your teen’s best interests at heart. An agency with a proven track record of going above and beyond to get your teen the right opportunities. And that just so happens to be us!
We have worked with just about every major brand and production company in Australia including Nike, Target, Warner Brothers, and Disney. You can check out some of the other amazing clients we’ve worked with on our work page.
Yes, of course! Many of the teenagers that have worked with Bubblegum Casting have gone on to sign up with our adult talent agency Hunter Talent. If that’s what your teen decides to do, we’ll be more than happy to help.
There’s no doubt that your teen will need to miss out on some classes, but this will not affect their education.
Your teen’s education is hugely important and so production companies will do everything in their power to ensure that teen actors do not miss out.

At Bubblegum, we represent some of Australia’s brightest young stars, but even so, we’re always on the lookout for fresh new faces and talent.
If your child is aged anywhere from 3 months to 18 years of age, and you think they might have what it takes to shine in front of a camera or on stage, then we want to hear from you.
We’ll set up a quick informal chat where we’ll get a feel for your child’s suitability for working in the industry.
The lucky kids that make it onto our books benefit from in-house workshops and coaching sessions to help them brush up on their skills. They’ll also get great advice and tips from the Bubblegum team, some of whom have worked as child models and actors themselves! We’ll even arrange a portfolio shoot with our in-house photographer.
We want all the kids on our books to have their chance to shine and if that means working twice as hard to make it happen, then that’s what we’ll do!
